Bucks restaurants raise over $9,500 to feed displaced Ukrainians The staff at the Black Bass Hotel and Golden Pheasant Inn hosted a weeklong fundraising event March 28 through April 3 to benefit World Central Kitchen. Both restaurants donated a portion of their restaurant profits totaling $9,533. The funds were donated to World Central Kitchen’s current efforts in Ukraine. World Central Kitchen was created by chef Jose Andres. The organization’s mission is to provide meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises. Wold Central Kitchen has been working tirelessly with local chefs and restaurants to serve warm meals to displaced Ukrainians since the onset of this conflict. “Like everyone, we wanted to do something to help those suffering in Ukraine,” stated Laura Thompson Barnes. “We learned about the World Central Kitchen and their efforts to immediately serve chef-prepared meals to communities impacted by the Ukrainian crisis. We felt that this was the perfect pathway for us to help. I strongly urge others to learn more about this wonderful organization.” Visit wck.org/ for information or donate directly at donate.wck.org/give.
