Bidding open online for Baum School of Art’s Annual Art Auction

Posted

Allentown – The Baum School of Art’s 37th Annual Art Auction will take place online from Sunday, May 15 to Saturday, May 21. Although the bidding itself will take place online, the artwork is available to view in person in the school’s David E. Rodale Gallery, Rodale Family Gallery, and Fowler Community Room.  All proceeds directly support the school and its mission of enriching lives through arts education with programs for children, teens, and adults as well as the over 50 participating artists.

This year’s auction boasts approximately 470 works of art—more than any other auction in the school’s history—featuring artists from the Pennsylvania Impressionist period of Walter Baum, to contemporary local artists. With the wide array of artwork, media, sizes, and price points, there is something for everyone. The event features a number of pieces from artists such as Walter Emerson Baum, John E. Berninger, Robert Blanchard, Lee Everett, Antonio Martino, Hans Moller, and Ann Yost Whitesell; as well as contemporary working artists including Sandra Corpora, Ron Delong, Andrew Kish III, Barbara Kozero, Ramon Peralta, Dana Van Horn, and many more.

The Baum School of Art’s Auction continues to grow each year, reaching collectors nationwide. Last year’s auction was record breaking, reaching buyers in 17 states and selling over $145,000 in artwork.
