New York Times Best Selling Author Elin Hilderbrand will be the keynote speaker for the kickoff event of the 5th annual Bucks County Book Festival.
She will present her latest novel, “The Hotel Nantucket,” her 28th published work of fiction. Tickets are on sale now for the Friday, Sept. 23 event, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Life Sciences Auditorium at Delaware Valley University, 700 E. Butler Ave., Doylestown.
“The Hotel Nantucket” has been described on GoodReads as “(f)illed with the emotional tension and multiple points of view that characterize Hilderbrand’s books ... as well as an added touch of historical reality...”
Hilderbrand’s novels have all been set in and around Nantucket Island, where she lives, although she is originally from Collegeville, Pa.
The mother of three, she is a dedicated Peloton rider, lover of hydrangeas, an aspiring book influencer, and an enthusiastic at-home cook. She is also an eight-year breast cancer survivor. She speaks about overcoming life’s challenges and is a symbol of strength and success. “I would take the cancer again – and why? Because it is only in facing that which threatens your very being that you learn what it means to be alive,” she said.
The Bucks County Book Festival celebrates literacy, sparks imagination, and inspires people of all ages by connecting authors and readers. The goal is to instill a passion for reading and writing, to benefit neighbors, to have fun, and to attract visitors to Bucks County.
