Benchmark Lending delivers “wish list” items to community organizations

Despite the pandemic, business never slowed down for Glenn M. Davis, business owner and certified mortgage planning specialist at Benchmark Lending in Flemington, N.J. “We are grateful to our team and partners for delivering amazing service to our clients despite the challenges presented by the health crisis. We know we are fortunate to have a thriving business during this time and have made it a priority to show our gratitude by giving back to the community,” stated Davis.

Benchmark Lending has paired up with nonprofits over the past few months to deliver their most needed “wish list” items, including diapers for the United Way of Hunterdon County, pet supplies for the Animal Alliance, and personal care kits for Fisherman’s Mark.

“Personal hygiene items are often in short supply, and we are so grateful to Benchmark Lending and Glenn Davis for the generous donation of these much-needed items during these trying times. At Fisherman’s Mark we have seen a 200% increase in new clients since the onset of COVID-19, and the support from the community has been critical to addressing this unprecedented need.” stated Jennifer Williford, executive director of Fisherman’s Mark.

To show appreciation to first responders, Davis personally delivered lunch to local police departments in Lambertville, Flemington, Raritan and Delaware townships. Office manager Nora Mathews partners with local businesses to deliver these lunches including Main Street Bagel in Flemington, and Maria Rosa Pizzeria in Delaware Township. Banners thanking essential workers and first responders hang in front of the Benchmark Lending office at 110 Main St. in Flemington. The banners were printed by another local business, Minuteman Press.

“Small business owners care about our community and their neighbors, provide amazing customer service, provide employment for local families, and give back in so many ways. We are grateful to Benchmark Lending and all the amazing businesses in our community who have shown leadership and generosity during these difficult times,” remarked Kaitlin Giles-McCormick, Flemington Borough Council president.

Up next is a donation to the Flemington Fire Department which includes disposable face masks, antibacterial wipes, and other “wish list” items which will be delivered to their August department meeting along with a pizza dinner for the volunteer fire fighters to enjoy.
