AVA Singers

The Academy of Vocal Arts of Philadelphia has a strong presence in Bucks County with the Bucks County Opera Association, which was founded by Franca Warden and the late Adele Warden Paxson.

This spring, supporters gathered at Mary Eleanor Pitcairn’s Pipersville studio to hear AVA students perform and later, at Franca Warden’s request, students sang for residents of Heritage Towers in Doylestown.

The association sponsored Gounod’s “Romeo et Juliette” May 4, at Central Bucks South High School.

The following photographs were shot at both events.
