Plans are underway for a three-story assisted living complex, with a small urgent-care center, parking, and three small retail stores next to the Giant shopping center on Lower York Road in Solebury Township.
Sketch plans are expected to be presented to the township Planning Commission on Oct.14.
The project is being proposed by New Cartwheel Properties, which owns the land occupied by the Giant grocery store, and by Heritage Senior Living, said township Manager Dennis Carney.
The parcel, located in the TNC zone (Traditional Neighborhood Commercial), consists of three lots of 0.665 acres, 5.28 acres and 4.01 acres, which are traversed by a stretch of PECO right-of-way. The 4.01-acre lot contains an abandoned wood-frame store.
The buildings would be placed along Lower York Road with parking in the lot across from the PECO right-of-way.
