Posted

Starting June 3 with the opening weekend reception, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County is hosting a series of community events surrounding the R.E.D. Show at Freeman Hall in Doylestown, including exhibitions, family events, plein air painting and wet sale.

The council has issued a call to artists to take part on the plein air painting and wet sale on Saturday, June 4. It’s free for members and $10 for nonmembers.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., artists paint or sketch en plein air on the grounds of TileWorks, Fonthill, and/or Freeman Hall., followed from 4 to 5 p.m. by the wet sale in the courtyard at TileWorks. Check-in and Sale are at the TileWorks, 130 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown.

Artists (members and nonmembers) must register online by June 1 for this event. For information and registration go to bucksarts.org/red_pleinair.

In addition, volunteers are needed during R.E.D. opening weekend – June 3, 4, 5. Contact the council for available volunteer openings and use SignUp.co to claim volunteer shifts.
