Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks invites you to vote for an earth-friendly town

Posted

Doylestown Borough will ban one-use plastic bags beginning June 23.

So, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County saw an opportunity to support this earth-friendly initiative with its creativity. Board member Gene Underwood worked with president Ruth Anderson and board member Bill Milnazik to create three designs for a reusable shopping bag made from recycled material that can be given to members of the community. Milnazik is the principal of Axis Visual, a branding and graphic marketing firm in Doylestown.

Now, the Herald and the A&C are inviting Herald readers to vote for their favorite bag design, choosing from the three options shown here. Voting is free and quick. Simply go to bit.ly/BAGVOTE by Friday, May 5 at midnight.

The winning design will be printed on 1,000 bags. A New Hope family that enjoys supporting the local art scene funded the project. The A&C will offer bags to the members of the A&C, and up to 600 bags will be given free to shoppers at Doylestown’s Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s Market, 200 W. State St., starting at noon on Friday, June 23, the day the one-use bag ban officially goes into effect.
