Arts and Cultural Council invites artists, poets to submit works

Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County is accepting submissions for “April: 30 Days of Inspiration,” a poem-a-day-paired-with-an-artwork-a-day social media campaign in recognition of National Poetry Month.
The council seeks submissions of poetry and artwork that explore what inspires, strengthens, connects, calms, or revives. This project is not limited to Bucks County residents or Arts & Cultural Council members; there is no submission fee.
Previously published poetry will be accepted; artists need not create new work to enter the show. Contact information for artists and poets will be featured alongside published works to expand the marketing reach of all participants.

ACCBC board member and poet Hayden Saunier sees this project as a way to unify and amplify the visions of artists and poets during what remains a challenging time. “I look forward to seeing the final pairings of words and images, how each speaks to the other, reflecting the strengths and hopes of our whole community.”

It is the intention of the Arts & Cultural Council to use the social media campaign “April: 30 Days of Inspiration” as a means of celebration and community-building while partnering poets with visual artists in evocative ways.
The ACCBC aims to reach out to old and new friends and provide meaningful ways to make connections, to be productive, to help others, and to maintain hope.
“It’s a powerful opportunity to connect all of us through a celebration of the arts as we work to make the Bucks County regional arts community the best it can be,” Saunier notes.
The Arts & Cultural Council has at its heart the promotion and engagement of regional visual, performing, and literary artists, as well as the enrichment and preservation of the arts and cultural communities in Bucks County and beyond.
