“Articulate” with Jim Cotter on PBS 39 nominated for two Daytime Emmys

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced the nominees for the 47th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards; the two-hour special will air at 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, on CBS.

“Articulate” with Jim Cotter, presented by Lehigh Valley Public Media, home to PBS39, is nominated in two categories: Outstanding Multiple Camera Editing and Outstanding Sound Mixing.

“As the presenting station, we believe in and admire the work that the ‘Articulate’ team is doing. For the show to be recognized in two separate Daytime Emmy categories, which is more than many other well-known commercial shows, is outstanding,” said Tim Fallon, chief executive officer at Lehigh Valley Public Media.

Now in its fifth season, “Articulate” is an arts and culture magazine show that explores how creative people think. Both of the show’s nominations are for episode 507, “Andrew Bird: Whistling While He Works.”

“We’re thrilled. We believe our Andrew Bird feature is a great example of the breadth of talent held inside this tiny group of producers,” said Jim Cotter, host and managing editor.

Lehigh Valley Public Media, home of PBS39 became the presenting sponsor of “Articulate” in January.
