Art show offers differing but complementary Points of View

Posted

The 5th annual Points of View, an art show and sale featuring five local artists, will be presented for two weekends at the Laceworks at 287 S. Main St., Lambertville, N.J.

Show dates are Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 4, and Friday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 11.

The show will begin with an opening reception from 7 to p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, and continue both weekends, from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays, noon to 7 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. For information, contact JeanneChesterton@gmail.com or Ilene@IleneRubin.com.

Once again, the show will be held at The Laceworks, at the framing studio of Stuart Clark on the lower rear parking lot side of the building.

Parking is free and abundant. Entrances are on the street side or around the back on the lower level. Look for the banners and flags.

The art of Jeanne Chesterton and Ilene Rubin, along with Pat Powell, Rose Marie Strippoli, and Gail Bracegirdle will be featured in Points of View. All art is for sale.

Chesterton paints realistic still life subjects. Rubin concentrates mostly on landscapes and will showcase bridges and water, along with a few small still life pieces. Powell has combined form, color and mixed media. Strippoli uses shape and color to impart a nonrepresentational vision. Bracegirdle manipulates watercolor paint.
