Artworks Trenton, along with three partner organizations, opens its doors to all for two days of free art activities for the entire family.
Art enthusiasts of all ages, cultures and backgrounds are invited to fully immerse themselves in creating and revel in the sheer beauty of self-expression at Art Making Day March 7 and 14, in Trenton, N.J.
Art Making Day is a free event that promotes the idea that art is a universal language building bridges that connect and engage communities. Participants can explore the assorted “art stations” set up throughout Artworks Trenton, the Boys & Girls Club Centre Street Clubhouse, the Trenton Free Public Library and the New Jersey State Museum.
From noon to 4 p.m. March 7, Artworks, located at 19 Everett Alley, will aim to convert its 40-foot-high, sky-lit facility into an art-making playground where visitors’ imaginations are welcome to go wild.
Activities range from collaborative murals to upcycled projects and even an interactive character design studio. Door prizes will be waiting at Artworks’ facility filled with tools to inspire all ages to think outside the box.
From noon to 4 p.m. March 14, the public is invited for “Day 2” at Artworks’ partner locations – The Boys & Girls Club Centre Street Clubhouse, The Trenton Free Public Library and The New Jersey State Museum – where other activities will be held. Each location provides a unique experience.
