Posted

AOY Art Center presents the 11th annual Juried Art Exhibition, showcasing an array of talented artists from around the region from April 15 to May 14.

The exhibition features a diverse selection of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and photography. Artists were selected through a rigorous jury process, ensuring the highest quality of work in the exhibition.

The Director of Curatorial Initiatives and the Susan Gray Detweiler Curator of American Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Jessica Todd Smith, curated the show from over 400 works to 128, representing 106 artists, including some from Virginia and New York.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the 11th year of our Juried Art Exhibition,” said Bette Sovinee, AOY executive director. “Our goal is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their unique perspectives and artistic styles. The diversity of styles and perspectives on display is a testament to the vibrant art scene in this region.”

Visitors to the exhibition can expect to see a range of themes and subjects, from abstract pieces to realistic depictions of everyday life. Each artwork represents the artist’s individual vision and creativity.

The Juried Art Exhibition also offers several awards and prizes thanks to the support of the arts community and local businesses such Jerry’s Artarama of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Countryside Gallery in Newtown. Winners will be announced at the exhibition’s opening reception on Friday evening April 14.

Admission to the exhibition is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged to support the center’s ongoing efforts to showcase local and regional artists. The gallery will be open weekends from April 15 to May 1, where visitors can meet participating artists from noon to 5 p.m.
