The man who, authorities said, went on a murderous rampage in Falls Township last month was extradited from New Jersey to Bucks County Wednesday and arraigned for killing three of his family members, including his 13-year-old sister.
Andre Gordon Jr., 26, who has no known address, appeared before District Judge John T. Galloway.
During the brief court hearing, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn detailed what she characterized as horrors faced by two Falls Township households on March 16 and asked Galloway to deny bail and bar Gordon from contacting the survivors of his violent spree.
Galloway denied bail and remanded Gordon to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
On March 16, the DA’s office said, Gordon shot and killed his 52-year-old stepmother, Karen Gordon, and his 13-year-old sister, Kera Gordon, in one location and 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, with whom he had two children, in a second location.
Authorities said he arrived in Falls in a stolen vehicle that he carjacked in Trenton, broke into the house where Karen and Kera Gordon lived, killed them and then forced his way into a second residence, where he killed Daniel. There were other people present in each of the households, one of whom was bludgeoned by Gordon with an assault rifle, the DA’s office said.
Gordon then committed a carjacking at gunpoint in Morrisville, the DA’s office said, later abandoning the vehicle in Trenton.
Authorities issued a shelter-in-place order in Falls, which lasted three hours until Gordon was tracked to New Jersey, where police received word that he was barricaded, with hostages, inside a residence in Trenton. Gordon was taken into custody at 5 p.m., about five blocks away from the home.
Prior to his arraignment in Bucks County, Gordon appeared at a hearing in Mercer County, N.J., where he waived his extradition rights and was transported back to Bucks County.
Gordon is charged in Bucks with three counts each of murder of the first degree and murder of the second degree, and numerous counts of burglary, aggravated assault, robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, unlawful restraint, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, theft by unlawful taking, possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
