Alvin N. Lerner

Alvin N. Lerner of Buckingham, Pa., passed away at his residence on Friday, April 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and friends on Passover. He was 89.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Irving and May (Legrand) Lerner, Alvin resided in South Orange, N.J., before moving to Bucks County 25 years ago.

He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Dorine (Fierro) Lerner; devoted father of Ilissa Marks and husband Brett, Tammy Russeck and husband Bob Bieber; dear brother of the late Joseph Lerner; loving grandfather of Nicole, Sydney, Zoe, Noah and Justin. As a young man, Alvin was the owner of a restaurant in NYC called “Pal Joey.”

Alvin was formerly an exectutive of Velouret and Tami Jan Companies. He was a lover of Bridge, the Cornerstone gym and the Silver Sneakers classes. He spent time writing and sharing wonderful stories with family, friends and neighbors. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean war. He will be missed by many. Services will be private.
