Allentown student collects baby dolls for dementia patients

Posted

Bayada Hospice volunteer Jessie Schmitt recently collected over 50 baby dolls for dementia patients at home and in assisted living facilities along with the support of the Dementia Society of America.
Schmitt, a student at Parkland High School in Allentown, is an office volunteer for the Bayada Hospice office in Warminster.
Numerous Bayada Hospice offices were used as collection sites and Schmitt has already delivered baby dolls to Brandywine Senior Living and Sunrise of Blue Bell. The rest will be distributed over the next couple of weeks, which coincidentally falls on dementia and Alzheimer awareness months and falls over Assisted Living Week as well.
