Activists organize Queer Prom Fundraising Concert

Posted

Youth 4 Unity will hold a Queer Prom Fundraising Concert 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works Museum to raise money for The Rainbow Room’s 2022 Queer Prom.
Youth 4 Unity will host many performers including Froggy, Pinewood Derby, Human Dog, I Hate Homecoming, Belki, Low Blood Sugar, and Leon Mopecha. There will also be LGBTQIA+ merchandise, refreshments, and featured community organizations – such as Evolution Candy, Bucks County’s GLSEN, The Rainbow Room, and Bucks Liberation coalition – set up at booths.
Prospective attendees can purchase tickets on the Eventbrite featured on Youth 4 Unity’s website, youth4unity.com, or the day of the event at the ticket booth.

All ticket profits and extra donations will go to The Rainbow Room’s 2022 Queer Prom Planning Fund (ticket sales and donations made to Youth 4 Unity will not be tax-deductible).
Proof of vaccination is required the day of the event; if you do not have proof you must wear a mask. Masks are recommended to all who are vaccinated.
The first Queer Prom took place in February 2020 and was an inclusive, inviting event that made so many LGBTQIA+ youth feel safe and accepted.
