ACME Screening Room presents the documentary “Mary Janes: The Women of Weed,” with a discussion with Chris Visco, co-owner of TerraVida Holistic Centers, at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 2.
Women are changing the face of today’s fastest growing industry – cannabis. Join filmmaker Windy Borman as she explores the movement to end marijuana prohibition, her own relationship to the plant, and the stereotypes surrounding it.
Through a series of interviews with a broad diversity of women leading the industry today, Borman’s own assumptions are transformed.
Speaker Chris Visco, former retail buyer, campaign strategist and bakery owner has trail-“blazed” her way into the medical marijuana industry. A Montgomery County native and president and CEO of TerraVida Holistic Centers, Visco operates three medical marijuana dispensaries in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties and continues to show the growing industry that the future is female.
