ACME Screening Room calls for submissions for Lambertville Halloween Film Festival

Posted

Film submissions for the first annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival, taking place Oct. 20 to 23, are open now until Sept. 4 on the site Film Freeway.

Films that evoke the themes of the Halloween season, anything from creepy thrillers and paranormal investigations, to classic horror, will be accepted.

The festival will open with a Masquerade Party Thursday evening Oct. 20 with live entertainment and prizes for best costumes. Film screenings will begin Friday afternoon and will run all day Saturday with the Awards Ceremony Saturday at 8 p.m.

Vendor slots are still open as part of the Fall Festival at Lambertville Station.

Saturday afternoon will also feature SFX makeup artist Mel Licata, as she gives a talk and demonstrates her skills on a lucky raffle winner. Lambertville Historical Society will host a Lambertville Ghost and History tour at 5 p.m.

Sunday will include a children’s craft activity, and a few classic Halloween films will round out the weekend. Festival award winners will also be screened Sunday afternoon.
