ACLU files complaint on behalf of LGBTQ+ Central Bucks students

Posted

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed a federal complaint against Central Bucks School District – the fourth-largest district in the commonwealth – alleging a toxic environment of bullying, harassment, and discrimination of LGBTQ+ students across the district.

The ACLU of Pennsylvania shared this video on their Facebook page Oct. 6:

The alleged discrimination is based on sex and the violation of the students’ rights under the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments Act.

The complaint was filed with the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, and the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights. Learn more at aclupa.org/CentralBucks.
