A Woman’s Place hosts 25th annual Chocolate Lovers’ Gala

Posted

A Woman’s Place (AWP) is celebrating 45 years of service to the community and 25 years of its iconic event – the Chocolate Lovers’ Fantasy Gala – Saturday, March 26.
Close to 200 guests will join community sponsors, including Parx Casino, Syngenius, and National Maintenance and Build Out Company for a night of fun, fundraising and a bit of awareness about domestic violence which has increased more than 10% nationally since 2020.
As Bucks County’s only domestic violence response organization, A Woman’s Place received almost 6,000 hotline calls last year and served more than 2,000 people with safe housing, counseling, legal services and court accompaniment. AWP also reached more than 6,200 students through prevention education programming throughout Bucks County schools.
Spring Mill Manor, 171 Jacksonville Road, Ivyland will serve as the backdrop for some of the best chocolate creations Bucks County has to offer. Business or cocktail attire is suggested.
There will be a VIP Sponsor Reception beginning at 6 p.m., to include hors d’oeuvres and a preview of the silent auction items, followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing. The main event begins at 7 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. and dancing at 9 p.m.

“After two years of not being able to see each other in-person, I am looking forward to an exciting night,” said AWP Executive Director Marianne Lynch.
“As someone who entered my role in the midst of the pandemic, I have not had the pleasure of meeting our many community supporters yet. I look forward to sharing our vision with them and indulging in a little chocolate too.”
Event tickets, raffle tickets, and sponsorships are available for purchase at awomansplace.org/chocolate.
The free, private, and confidential A Woman’s Place hotline (800-220-8116) is available 24 hours a day. Information about A Woman’s Place, domestic violence, and how to get involved with the organization can be found at awomansplace.org.
