A garden in her name

Posted

Kathy Bates, Neshaminy Manor’s longtime director of recreational therapy, cuts the ribbon for the opening of the garden pavilion named for her with County Commissioner Charles Martin next to her. She is retiring this year after 23 years with the county. She had the original idea for the courtyard and started the foundation that raised more than $400,000 to build the garden and pavilion. The ribbon-cutting took place July 11. More photos in a future edition of the Herald. Photograph by Carol Ross.
