Lambertville’s Shad Fest returned after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.
Held April 23 to 24, the festival featured food, music, children’s activities, crafts and more.

The migrating fish swim from the Atlantic Ocean upriver to spawn. Many are caught in the giant net on their way to the spawing grounds. The New York Times reported that on April 23, a total of 111 shad were netted in one night.
