18th century cooking on show in Warwick

Posted

Susan McLellan Plaisted of Heart to Hearth Cookery will demonstrate 18th century cooking at the historic Moland House in Warwick Township the second Sunday of each month.
Last Sunday, Plaisted prepared potato and apple pudding. Susan chose the Moland House because of its 1750s kitchen, which allows visitors to learn the cooking techniques used by early pioneers.

After watching Susan prepare a recipe on the open fires, visitors can tour the house while docents explain why George Washington camped at the Moland House for 13 days in August 1777.
Plaisted will return with a new cooking experience from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 10.
