Bucks, Montgomery seniors zipline through the Pennsylvania sky

Posted

Last month, senior residents of Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) Doylestown and Upper Moreland communities participated in a sky-high ziplining adventure coasting down two 4,000-foot-long ziplines in the Pocono Mountains.

The excursion marks the fourth annual ziplining trip to Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville. The first annual outing was inspired by a WEL Doylestown resident who had a dream of one day going ziplining. Her dream was fulfilled through WEL Wishes, a program designed to encourage and support senior residents in fulfilling their lifelong dreams.

“Each year, our team looks forward to coordinating this ziplining trip for the senior residents,” said Lisa Haino, director of marketing communications and special events at Wesley Enhanced Living. “Seeing residents light up with joy and excitement when opportunities like this arise is delightful. At WEL, we focus on not only encouraging residents to share their dreams with us, but we also provide support as they pursue their passion – that is what makes our organization so special.”
