Dana Nieves delivered the first baby of 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township. Baby girl Drew arrived at 2:10 a.m. Jan. 1. Dana happens to be an employee at St. Mary Medical Center.
Rex Gawel was the first baby of the year born at Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill. He greeted the world — and parents Shannon Ritter and Matthew Gawel — at 9:48 a.m. Jan. 2, weighing in at 9 pounds,15 ounces and 22 inches in length.
Gabino and Maria Gonzalez of Pittstown, NJ are the proud parents of a baby girl, Xochitl Roxana Vilchis Coj, who was born at 2:07 am on January 1, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Xochitl, the couple’s third child, weighed 6 pounds and 7.2 ounces and was 19 inches long.
