Fall is funky at Picnics On Pine in Doylestown

Posted

Picnics On Pine returns to Doylestown Borough Saturday on the block-long stretch of Pine Street between Oakland and Taylor avenues.

The event will feature live music from CLOVER (Lambertville’s Clover Stieve) and Funkacola (composed of Central Bucks high school students) and local food from The Speckled Egg Cafe at a pop-up neighborhood amphitheater provided by Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church.

“The fall is my favorite time of year to present the picnics,” says series creator and lifelong Doylestown resident Joe Montone. “It’s a perfect environment for cozying up, enjoying live music, and there is always an amazing sunset just before the headliner goes on.”

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at 84 E. Oakland Ave. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at http://picnicsonpine.com/tickets. Kids ages 10 and under are free. Guests are encouraged to bring non-obstructive folding chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. Dogs are welcome.

The event is produced in part by Delaware Valley University School Of Graduate and Professional Studies, McMillan Music, Quire, and Trinity Rehab.
