Dolores Popek (nee Popiel), 88, of Mercer Hill at Doylestown, passed away January 3, 2024 after a short illness.
She is survived by her two sons, John (Barbara) of King of Prussia, Stephen (Marlane) of Doylestown; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Jillian, and Leah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and her five siblings. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was born in Philadelphia, and graduated in 1953 from Little Flower Catholic HS. She married Henry “Hank” Popek in 1956. They lived in Philadelphia, Southampton and then various retirement communities in central Bucks County. Prior to her retirement, Dolores worked at the IRS in Philadelphia and for the Eastern Center for Arts & Technology in Willow Grove.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd, Jamison, Pa.; visitation at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
