Tough first half hurts Spartans

Calvary Christian scored three goals in the first half to silence Solebury School girls’ soccer, 3-0, on Thursday. “Solebury’s best chance [to score] came from tri-captain Cassidy Patterson, as she took a shot from outside the 18-yard box that was saved by Cavalry’s ’keeper,” Spartans head coach Lisa Bernardini said. “The second half was better for Solebury, keeping Cavalry from scoring any more goals. Solebury had first chances to score, but couldn’t convert. Solebury’s ’keeper, Tavorsia Talley, made a couple great, athletic saves to deny goals from Cavalry. This was Solebury’s last regular season league game.”
