Flor “kills” Upper Dublin’s hopes

Dylan Flor smashed 18 kills (and added 11 digs) as Quakertown boys’ volleyball romped over Upper Dublin, 3-0 (25-19, 25-6, 25-19), on Friday. Adding to the winning effort were: Lucas Schan, 10 kills, three digs; Coulton Terry, seven kills; Nick Wesley, 10 digs; Jeff Prusch, 10 digs; Mike Dierolf, seven digs; and Xavier Villanueva, 30 assists.

Panthers stymie Souderton

Quakertown boys’ volleyball defeated Souderton, 3-1 (25-15, 25-12, 24-26, 25-16), on Wednesday. The Panthers are 9-4 in the SOL Continental. Filling out the stat sheet for Quakertown were: Dylan Flor, 15 kills, 10 digs, two aces; Mike Dierolf, 11 kills, 16 digs; Coulton Terry, eight kills, three blocks; Lucas Schan, eight kills, six blocks, five digs; Zach Dierolf, five kills, three blocks; Xavier Villanueva, 41 assists, 13 digs; Nick Wesley, 15 digs; and Jeff Prusch, six digs.

Rams up record to 13-0

Pennridge boys’ volleyball swept CB West, 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-15), on Wednesday. The Rams are 13-0 on the season and will host North Penn on Friday night. Leading the way against the Bucks were: Bradley Nase, 32 assists, six digs; Max McVaugh, 17 digs; Ben Chinnici, 16 kills, two aces; Devon Rice, 13 kills, 12 digs, four aces; Henry Savage, four kills, three blocks; and Josiah Friesen, three kills, two blocks.

North Penn tames Panthers

Quakertown boys’ volleyball lost to North Penn, 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16), on Monday. The Panthers dropped to 8-4 in the SOL Continental and 10-4 overall. For Quakertown, Dylan Flor had eight kills; Mike Dierolf, five kills; Lucas Schan, four kills; Coulton Terry, three kills, three blocks; Xavier Villanueva, 20 assists, two blocks; and Nick Wesley, nine digs

Rams are third at invitational

Pennridge boys’ volleyball finished in a tie for third at the State College Invitational on Saturday. The Rams were 5-1 in pool play and 4-2 in the power pool round, sweeping State College and splitting with Northeastern and Central York. Pennridge then lost, 30-20, to Hempfield in the semifinals. Cumulative stats: Bradley Nase, 110 assists, 18 digs, six aces, six blocks, six kills; Ben Chinnici, 43 kills, 37 digs, nine aces, eight blocks; Devon Rice, 30 kills, 42 digs, eight aces; Henry Savage, 23 kills, 11 digs, 16 blocks; Aaron Nelson, 10 kills, five blocks; Jon Long, eight kills, five blocks; Brian Rosenberg, six kills, four blocks; Max McVaugh, 45 digs, five aces; and Jesse Smith, 31 digs.

Senior ace: Rice serves to record

Pennridge boys’ volleyball senior Devon Rice passed Austin Jacoby’s mark of 129 career aces on Thursday at home against Quakertown, a 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 26-24) Rams win. Rice now has 136 aces in his career (includes all regular season and postseason matches, not tournaments). Pennridge is 12-0 on the year. Ram stats from Thursday: Bradley Nase, 29 assists, six digs, three blocks; Rice, 10 kills, eight aces, 12 digs; Ben Chinnici, 10 kills, two aces, two blocks; Henry Savage, four kills, four blocks; Brian Rosenberg, four kills; Jon Long, two kills, two blocks; Aaron Nelson, two kills, two blocks; Max McVaugh, eight digs; and Jesse Smith, 10 digs. Nase passes Rams over Patriots

Bradley Nase handed out 44 assists (and added 12 digs and two blocks) as Pennridge boys’ volleyball won at Central Bucks East, 3-1 (25-17, 25-27, 25-19, 25-12), on Wednesday. The Rams are 11-0 and will host Quakertown on Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. Against the Patriots, Max McVaugh had 26 digs and two aces. Also excelling were: Ben Chinnici, 18 kills, four blocks; Henry Savage, 11 kills, seven blocks; Devon Rice, 11 kills, 15 digs; Jon Long, five kills, three blocks; Aaron Nelson, four kills; and Jesse Smith, 14 digs.

Panthers dial up another W

Quakertown boys’ volleyball stuffed CB West, 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 30-32, 25-17), on Monday to go to 8-2 in the SOL Continental and 10-2 overall. Dylan Flor notched an amazing 31 kills, plus 10 digs, for the Panthers. Helping him were: Coulton Terry, 14 kills, three blocks, seven digs; Lucas Schan, nine kills, three blocks, four digs; Mike Dierolf, eight kills, 16 digs; Zach Dierolf, three kills, three blocks; Xavier Villanueva, 51 assists, five kills, 12 digs; Nick Wesley, 24 digs; Jeff Prusch, seven digs; and Matt Clifford, five digs.

Rams knock off Titans

Pennridge boys’ volleyball prevailed over Central Bucks South, 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-21), on Monday. For the Rams, Bradley Nase had 18 assists, four blocks and two aces. Joining him on the stat sheet were: Jesse Smith, eight assists; Ben Chinnici, 10 kills, six digs, three aces; Devon Rice, three kills, two aces; Henry Savage, three kills, four aces; Aaron Nelson, four kills, three blocks; Brian Rosenberg, four kills; Max McVaugh, six digs; and Caleb Pennell, five digs.

Panthers claim Dock tourney title

Quakertown boys’ volleyball captured the Christopher Dock Tournament crown on Saturday. The Panthers didn’t drop a set. In the playoffs, they defeated Souderton, 1-0 (25-16); North Penn, 2-0 (25-17, 25-22); and Fort LeBoeuf, 2-0 (27-25, 25-21), in the final. Quakertown’s Xavier Villanueva and Dylan Flor were named to the all-tournament team; Flor was also feted as the MVP. Tournament stats: Flor, 41 kills, five aces, two blocks, 12 digs; Mike Dierolf, 29 kills, six aces, one block, nine digs; Lucas Schan, 21 kills, four aces, three blocks; Coulton Terry, 22 kills, seven aces, seven blocks; Zach Dierolf, six kills, two blocks; Nick Wesley, 48 digs; and Villanueva, 95 assists, three aces, two blocks.
