Pennridge softball pushed across a five-spot in the top of the fifth to defeat Quakertown, 7-3, on Monday. The Panthers were leading, 3-1, after one inning. Emily Mayhew went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Rams. Alison Horne, Haley Taylor and Morgan Labs all had two base hits for Pennridge. Taylor had two extra-base hits, a double and a triple. Liz Nace picked up the win; Alyssa Wilkinson took the loss for Quakertown.
Quakertown softball crushed CB West, 19-2 in five innings, on Thursday. Megan Johnson picked up the win in the circle. The Panthers registered 18 hits and scored all 19 of their runs after the first inning. The Bucks led, 1-0, after one inning. CB West finished with five hits.
Quakertown softball handled visiting Palisades, 13-3 in six innings, on Monday at the RASA complex in Richland. Megan Johnson (1-1) picked up the win in the circle. Karlee Krchnavi absorbed the loss for the Pirates. Quakertown’s Meghan Klee went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Maddie Calder went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI, and Spenser Gray scored three runs.
Central Bucks South softball won a tight, 3-2 game over visiting Quakertown on Thursday afternoon. The Panthers managed 11 hits, but could muster only two runs (one in the third and one in the seventh) against the tough Titans. CB South finished with five hits. The Titans scored twice in the bottom of the first.
Central Bucks East softball needed 10 innings to erase Quakertown, 8-6, on Monday. The Patriots finished with nine hits; the Panthers managed six. Quakertown sent the game into extra innings with a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Aylssa Wilkinson did it all for Quakertown softball on Thursday. She pitched a complete game in the circle, and she went 2-for-4 at the dish with two doubles and two RBI in the Panthers’ 6-1 victory over Pennridge. Quakertown scored all six of its runs in the top of the fifth. Emily Mayhew took the loss for the Rams. Meghan Klee knocked in two with a shot up the middle in the fifth. Senior Becca Robison started the inning with her first home run that carried over the centerfield fence.
Quakertown softball claimed an 11-5 victory from visiting Central Bucks West on Tuesday. The Panthers were up 8-0 after three innings. Rich Scott’s team amassed nine hits, while the Bucks had six hits and scored four of their runs in the sixth inning.
Maddie Mulhall hit a solo home run in the third inning as Quakertown softball defeated visiting William Tennent, 12-10, in a slugfest on Thursday. Alyssa Wilkinson picked up the victory for Quakertown in the circle.
