Spartans doubled up by Villa Victoria

Villa Victoria Academy came out firing with four goals in the first half in a 4-2 victory Thursday over Solebury School girls’ soccer. “Solebury’s second half was a big improvement,” Spartans head coach Lisa Bernardini said. “The defense really stepped up in the second half, denying crosses and making some great saves by our ’keeper, Tavorsia Talley. Maya Brewington nailed a shot from about 10 yards behind the 18-yard box that went right under the crossbar and past the goal; it was a beauty. Hadiyyah Graves (Solebury) scored by getting a great through-ball pass by Maya Brewington, and she beat her defender and got a little breakaway and kicked it to the left corner of the goal.”
