Central Bucks East boys’ lacrosse held on to clip Hatboro-Horsham, 6-5, in a key early season Suburban One League Continental Conference battle on Monday. The Patriots, after trailing 3-2 at the half, scored twice in the third to go up, 4-3. The Hatters tied it up early in the fourth, but CB East put in two unanswered goals, one by Matt Heim and the other by Matt Milici, to take a one-goal lead with two minutes to go. Sean McGovern made four key saves in the final two minutes to preserve the one-goal victory for the Patriots. McGovern finished with 13 saves. CB East moves to 4-1 overall (2-0 in SOL Continental play). Heim and Milici each finished with two goals. Matt Schmidt and Matt Vetter also scored for the Patriots.
