Huuki ran a great race, as well, placing second with a time of 18:42. Dawson, Elizabeth Morris and Hannah Morris followed with times of 18:50, 18:57 and 19:25, respectively. Overall, the girls claimed first place in the race.

East also ran well in the JV races. For the boys, Frank Brophy, Troy Flagler and Will Shultz led the pack. The top runners in the girls’ event were Sarah Romanus, Amanda Conley and Courtney Wentz.

After a stellar race this Saturday, East hopes to repeat as league champions in its upcoming season. The Patriots’ next race, a dual meet against CB West and Pennridge, will be crucial to their success.
