Patriots break open game in fourth

Central Bucks East boys’ lacrosse beat Central Bucks West, 8-3, in Doylestown on Thursday night. The contest was tied at 2-2 after three quarters. The Patriots went on a run in the fourth, spreading the ball around to five different goal scorers. Matt Milici and Matt Schmidt led the scoring with two goals apiece. Matt Brown also had two goals. Additional scoring for CB East was provided by Matt Heim and Logan Nelsen, each with a goal. Sean McGovern had nine saves, and the CB East defense, led by Tyler Butler, Will Dempster, Michael Eveland and Dustin Buchanan, held the Bucks to three goals. Jimmy Seykort had two goals and an assist for CB West. Grant Udinski added five groundballs, and goalie Mike Harvan stopped 12 shots.
