Faith Christian girls’ basketball remained undefeated with a 55-36 victory Thursday at Bristol. The Lions led 14-3 after one quarter.
Faith Christian girls’ basketball annihilated Morrisville, 44-12, on Tuesday. The Lions outscored Morrisville in the first and fourth quarters combined, 20-0. Ashley Forker (12 points) and Liz Hoffman (10), both freshmen, led the way for Faith. Ashlyn Bodder chipped in with eight points. Forker also had eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.
Behind Danny Ziccardi’s 14 points and six rebounds, Faith Christian boys’ basketball downed Girard, 56-42, on Monday. It was the Lions’ first victory of the season in three tries. Seth Brunner chipped in 13 points and Tyler Landis nine and nine rebounds for Faith.
Faith Christian girls’ basketball eased past Lincoln Leadership Academy, 67-15, on Friday. Liz Hoffman scored 14 to lead the Lions. Ashley Forker contributed 10, while Ashlyn Bodder and Monica Ervin each added eight.
Faith Christian boys’ hoops succumbed to Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy, 68-44, on Friday. The Lions were outscored in the second and third quarters, 49-26. Danny Ziccardi stood out for Faith offensively, netting 18 points on a team-high three three-pointers. Tyler Landis scored 10 and added eight rebounds in the losing effort.
Freshman Ashley Forker had 13 points as Faith Christian girls’ basketball dominated Plumstead Christian, 55-18, on Wednesday. The Lions led at the break, 37-6. Ashlyn Bodder added eight points for the victors. In addition to scoring double-digit points, Forker had eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.
Faith Christian boys’ soccer stopped New Hope-Solebury, 3-1, on Friday night in Sellersville. Faith held a 6-5 advantage in shots. Jack Henley scored twice for Faith; the second goal was assisted by Dylan Papiernik. Zach Hambelton also tallied a goal for Faith. Senior Matt Barile scored New Hope’s lone goal in the 26th minute.
Faith Christian boys’ soccer, a sparkling 14-0 on the season, dropped the hammer on host Plumstead Christian in the second half Thursday. The Lions prevailed, 6-0, thanks to five second-half tallies, including two each by senior Jack Henley and classmate Elijah Bartholomew. Trevor Chew scored in the first half for Faith, and Dylan Papiernik connected in the second half.
New Hope-Solebury girls’ volleyball swept Faith Christian, 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-19), on Tuesday. New Hope senior setter Casey Coughlin handed out 23 assists, while sophomore Jacquie Whitney (17 kills) and senior Hannah Lelie (11 kills) added to the offensive attack. Faith was paced by Kari Anderson’s 12 assists and Kendra Kemmerer’s 10 kills.
Anna Vidakovic scored two goals as New Hope-Solebury girls’ soccer blasted Faith Christian, 6-1, Tuesday in New Hope. Meredith Crilley, Bailey Jaronski, Chanel D’Angelo and Isabella DeVito also scored for New Hope. Senior Sarah Doelp netted the lone goal for Faith Christian.
