Point Pleasant Baptist to install new director of children and youth ministry

Posted

Join Point Pleasant Community Baptist Church members on Feb. 17 at the 10:30 a.m. worship service as they welcome and install the Rev. Jonathan E. Krause as their new director of children and youth ministry.

Krause originally hails from Allentown and grew up in the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown. Always active in church, he taught third and fourth grade for three years in the Allentown School District and then felt called to go into ministry. He attended Moravian Theological Seminary, and there found a love for chaplaincy.

He graduated with his Master of Divinity in 2005 and a certificate in theological studies in 2006. After a chaplain residency, he moved to Bucks County to work at Doylestown Hospital Hospice as their hospice chaplain, and he continued to work trauma as chaplain at Lehigh High Valley Hospital. He currently works full time as a hospice chaplain at Main Line Health.

Krause met his wife, Teale, in 2010, and they were married in 2014. The Krauses’ daughter, Audrey, was born on April 14, 2017. His niece, his sister’s daughter, was born about six hours before Audrey was born. Therefore, he became an uncle and dad all in the same day.

Krause loves teaching and learning from children and youth. He looks forward to building a great ministry at Point Pleasant Community Baptist Church and to scheduling events for the children and youth of the Point Pleasant community.

All are invited to attend the worship service and the luncheon following.

Point Pleasant Community Baptist Church is located at 35 River Road in Point Pleasant (for GPS, use Pipersville).
