Music of Broadway featured in inaugural show
Memorable Affairs Dinner Theatre at Warminster’s Five Ponds Golf Club opens on Friday, Nov. 1.
The inaugural production, “Lullaby of Broadway,” runs for eight performances on Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through Nov. 10.
Billed as a musical revue including some of the most famous songs from the American musical theater, “Lullaby of Broadway” includes showstoppers from such iconic shows as “Carousel”; “West Side Story”; “Phantom of the Opera”; “La Cage aux Folles”; “Les Miserables”; “A Chorus Line”; and many more.
The revue features five performers known to area audiences: Michael Moeller, Tressa McCallister Scibilia, Michael Scibilia, Jennifer Fischer and Lauren Krigel.
“Lullaby of Broadway” is produced by Michael Moeller Productions.
Michael Moeller has appeared regionally at numerous theaters, including the Walnut Street Theatre, Riverfront Dinner Theatre, Town & Country Players and the Bucks County Playhouse.
His extensive directing credits include productions of “Mame,” starring Linda Dano and Anna Stuart, “Chicago” and “The King and I,” among many others. This holiday season, Moeller will understudy the role of Santa Claus in “Elf” at the Walnut Street Theatre.
Tressa McCallister Scibilia has been performing professionally for more than 14 years and includes the roles of Anna in “The King and I,” Julie Jordan in “Carousel” and the title role in “Evita” among her numerous credits.
Her husband, Michael Scibilia, has performed lead roles in the national tours of “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.”
Fischer was Elizabeth in the 2013 Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre production of “Young Frankenstein” and previously appeared as Ro in “Lemonade,” Lin in “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” and Georgia in “Curtains.”
Krigel has performed at the Walnut Street Theatre, Bucks County Playhouse and Washington Crossing Open Air Theatre in roles ranging from Anna in “The King and I” to Meg in “Little Women.”
“Lullaby of Broadway” features a live band with musical direction by Michelle Ferdinand, who served as the resident musical director for the Bucks County Playhouse for five years and more than 80 productions.
She continues to work with the Walnut Street Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Media Theatre and Young People’s Theatre Workshop.
The buffet accompanying the show is catered by Memorable Affairs of Warrington, which has been featured at weddings and events throughout the region, including numerous special events at Doylestown’s Mercer Museum.
The dinner theater menu includes chicken marsala, herb-crusted salmon and pasta primavera, among other offerings. Dessert will be served during intermission. Doors open for dining 90 minutes prior the production.
The Memorable Affairs Dinner Theatre is located at Warminster’s Five Ponds Golf Club, 1225 W. Street Road, Warminster.
Tickets are $60 per person for the buffet and show. For groups of nine or more, tickets are $55.
