New Hope Historical Society moves garden tour to September

Posted
Garden enthusiasts who may be wondering why they haven’t seen information about the New Hope Historical Society’s garden tour may be pleased to know that it has been moved to September 14 this year.

This is the society’s 25th garden tour and its 60th year as a nonprofit organization serving the community.

The one-day, self-guided event themed “Remembrance of Garden Tours Past,” is a tour of six premier Bucks County gardens that tour-goers may possibly have visited long ago.

It amazed the committee to see how the gardens have changed and grown over the years, and ticket holders will be equally amazed. Adding to this is the fact that different perennials will be in bloom toward the end of summer.

The gardens will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine Sept. 14.

A full color brochure with pictures and description of each garden, map and easy directions are included with each $35 ticket. A $5 discount is offered for tickets purchased prior to Sept. 1. Visit newhopehs.org or call 215-862-5652 to purchase “Remembrance of Garden Tours Past” tickets today.

Sponsorships are needed to help defray the cost of producing this community event. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to view the categories and benefits online to see how they can support the tour.
