New Hope Film Festival taps Deeter USA as marketing agency

Posted
The New Hope Film Festival (NHFF) has selected DeeterUSA, a Doylestown-based firm, to provide its branding and marketing support for 2019 and beyond, said D.F. Whipple, the film festival’s founder and executive director.

Although terms of the agreement were not disclosed, DeeterUSA will become the festival’s communications arm and oversee and contribute to all festival-driven plans, strategies and actions moving forward.

As the marketing agency of record, the firm will focus heavily on public relations/publicity, advertising, sales promotion, social and digital media management, event development and staging, as well as sponsorships and fundraising support.

DeeterUSA replaces Marianne Speiser, who had been founding artist of the festival and its marketing director since the event’s beginning in 2009. She passed away in December and is dearly missed by all NHFF faithful.

“While we miss and are grateful for the work Marianne did, we are extremely pleased to be able to make this announcement as we prepare for our 10th anniversary New Hope Film Festival celebration” said Whipple. “I have known and worked with the Deeter organization and its management team in the past. We share the same passion for quality and excellence. I could not be more comfortable with our selection.”

This year’s festival is slated to begin July 19 and run through July 28. The final program count and lineup will be announced in the official program guide when it is issued on or about June 15. A digital version of the guide is available on the festival’s website at newhopefilmfestival.com. To date, more than 440 festival submissions have been received.

To add even more interest to the festival this year, opening night will take place at Phillips Mill Community Association Theater, where shows will run for several days. The festival will then transition screenings to the New Hope Arts Center, where festival management will host the awards ceremony gala on closing night.

According to Whipple, this year the festival is shaping up to be one of the best. Area merchants can expect more than 2,000 film lovers coming in and out of the New Hope over the 10 days of screenings.

“We’re very excited about celebrating the 10th anniversary of the New Hope Film Festival,” said New Hope Mayor Larry Keller. “NHFF has truly become a global event and one area residents can be and are rightfully proud of.”
